EMCD Launches a Zcash Mining Pool

Zcash (ZEC) mining is now available in EMCD. Miners with Equihash-compatible ASICs can connect supported hardware without changing the existing hardware setup.
Zcash mining activity has increased sharply in 2026, with network hashrate up about 2.5x since January. ZEC blocks are produced roughly every 75 seconds, with difficulty recalculated after each block. The planned NU7 upgrade would reduce the block interval to 25 seconds.
The ZEC mining pool launches with the following conditions:
- Payout model: PPLNS
- Pool fee: 1.5%
- Minimum payout: 0.001 ZEC
- Payout address: External transparent Zcash t-address
- Payout flow: ZEC is sent to the external wallet address specified by the miner
Miners can track workers, hashrate, and reward calculations in the EMCD dashboard and contact support 24/7.
The new pool is designed for miners already using Equihash hardware, including operators looking for a low fee Zcash pool with external-wallet payouts and familiar monitoring tools.
How to Start Mining ZEC With EMCD
Connecting an ASIC takes a few steps:
- Open EMCD Mining Pool and select Zcash (ZEC)
- Copy the ZEC pool connection details
- Configure the ASIC with the pool connection details
- Start mining and track workers, hashrate, and rewards in the EMCD dashboard
Zcash uses the Equihash algorithm, so compatible ASIC hardware is required. Mining availability may also depend on jurisdiction, and miners should confirm that ZEC mining is available in their account before connecting hardware.
The launch adds Zcash to the list of assets supported by EMCD Mining Pool and gives Equihash miners another pool option within the EMCD mining infrastructure.
